DGPerry Cracks Trade Journal’s Top-200 List

CANFIELD, Ohio – DGPerry CPAs and Advisors last year made it onto Inside Public Accounting’s Top 200 list for the first time and also changed its name.

The firm, which has an office in Canfield, came in at No. 199 on the 2023 list, based on net revenue. That represented a climb of 103 spots over its 2022 ranking, according to Betsy Bresnahan, marketing manager.

Formerly Bodine Perry, DGPerry announced a name change in October.

Shortly after the firm’s rebrand, DGPerry entered into a management agreement with F.J. Basile, a CPA firm with offices in Naples, Fla., and New Hartford, N.Y., expanding the firm’s presence into New York state.

DGPerry operates nine offices across four states and employs 180. The firm employs 30 full-time team members in Canfield and serves a variety of audit and tax clients. The Canfield auditing team, led by Bruce Flyak, partner in charge, and Jody Deflin, senior manager, expanded its scope through several multiemployer benefit plans and not-for-profit auditing engagements.

At the beginning of 2024, DGPerry Canfield announced two promotions: Mary O’Donnell, CPA, to audit manager and Bresnahan to marketing manager. The Canfield office is also home to the firm’s growing administrative team.

This year, DGPerry added two new positions locally to round out its corporate support group: Gianna Hlebovy, talent acquisition specialist, and Kristina Papa, corporate accountant.

In preparation for tax season, DGPerry has launched two new workflow management platforms, AuditDashboard and SafeSend, giving clients an easy and secure way to access and share documents.
