Dibo, Hanna Show Off Villas at Carousel Lake

NEW MIDDLETOWN, Ohio – Dibo Construction Inc. and Howard Hanna Real Estate Services celebrated their joint project Friday afternoon, The Villas at Carousel Lake. It is the latest section to be developed at Carousel Corners.

The new planned unit development will contain 14 ranch villas designed to provide what they called high-quality, energy-efficient housing for those wishing to downsize.

The villas, they say, feature open floor plans, high-end finishes, high ceilings and include all the exterior maintenance in a monthly fee. Several of the villas lie along a lake, including the model home Dibo Construction recently finished.

Once this phase is completed, Dibo has plans for another 24 villas on the other side of the lake.

The owner of Dibo Construction, Antoun Dibo, says the villas are ideal for retirees or for snowbirds, those who spend winters in Florida. He sees a shortage of this type of housing in the area.

Each villa occupies 1,770 square feet. Prices begin at $300,000, says Jenna Koontz of Howard Hanna Real Estate. Homeowners will pay a $168 monthly maintenance fee.

Dibo’s company also offers construction loans, he says. His company bought property at Carousel Lake and spent its own funds to build the first two villas with two more under construction. Those interested can pick what they like in the model home and all features.

Dibo’s wife, Tina, picked out many of the high-end appliances and other items the villas offer. Mr. Dibo is hands-on with his projects, his wife says, adding he has built a good reputation.

Dibo Construction has been building houses in the area 3½ decades. It plans to open the Shelly Lynn Street phase at Carrousel Corners for more development in the spring. “For those people who have a dream, we make it happen for them,” the owner says.
