Do You Have a Business Succession Plan?
KENT, Ohio — The Small Business Succession Planning Program is a service of the Ohio Employee Ownership Center, a non-profit based at Kent State University.
The goal of the Succession Planning Program is to help small business owners in transferring the ownership of a business.
“We see quite often that if the business owner doesn’t have a clear sense of what their goals and objectives are that often, something will happen to the process as they’re going through it that’ll derail it and prevent them from actually developing a good sound succession plan,” says Chris Cooper, director for the Ohio Employee Ownership Center.
