Donnie Iris and the Cruisers Coming to Robins Theatre

WARREN, Ohio – Donnie Iris and the Cruisers will return to Robins Theatre on May 6 for a 7:30 p.m. concert that will also celebrate Iris’ 80th birthday.

Tickets range from $30 to $60 (plus applicable fees) and will go on sale Friday, March 17, at 10 a.m. at the box office, 160 E. Market St., and at robinstheatre.com. A presale for members of Friends of the Robins Theatre will start at 10 a.m. Thursday. To join, see information on the website.

Iris, of the Pittsburgh area, has had a long career that started with the 1970s hit “The Rapper,” which he wrote and sang as a member of the Jaggerz. His best-known songs include “Ah! Leah!” and “Love Is Like a Rock.”

Iris’ albums include “Back on the Streets,” “King Cool,” “Fortune 410,” “Poletown” and “Elwood City,” as well as “Ah! Live!,” a compilation of live recordings of some of their biggest hits and “Ah! Leluiah!,” a Christmas album.

Donnie Iris and the Cruisers continue to tour and record. Two of their most recent songs, “Sing the Songs of Summer [All Night Long]” and “Pittsburgh Made,” are available to download at donnieiris.com.

The band last played Robins Theatre in 2022.
