Downtown Youngstown Hosts 37th Annual Italian Fest
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Greater Youngstown Italian Fest returns this weekend.
Central Square and several blocks of West Federal Street are closed for the annual Italian festival, which will take place Friday (11 a.m. to 11 p.m.), Saturday (1 to 11 p.m.) and Sunday (11 a.m. to 11 p.m.). Admission is $5 (free for children under 12).
“There’s nothing like a good old-fashioned street festival,” says John Rossetti, chairman of the Greater Youngstown Italian Fest. “When you look at the large cities – New York, Chicago, Milwaukee – you’ll see that the Italian festivals belong in the central square downtown area of the city.”
