Duncan Becomes Certified Aging in Place Specialist
Jason Duncan of Duncan’s Bath & Kitchen Center, Poland, recently completed a three-day program to earn the Certified Aging in Place Specialist designation offered through the National Association of Home Builders. The coursework teaches contractors, custom builders and designers to assess the needs of individuals to function well within their homes and the ability of their homes to provide for the safety, comfort and accessibility older adults need. More than 90% of seniors want to remain living at home, according to AARP, Duncan notes.
