DuPont Promotes Kotwis to Technical Fellow
Joe Kotwis, a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School in Warren, recently was promoted to technical fellow at DuPont. This designation is the highest technical professional level within the company, which puts Kotwis among an elite group of scientists and engineers. He is recognized throughout DePont for his expertise in film handling and mechanical engineering, and he frequently consults across multiple sites and businesses. Kotwis is based at DuPont’s site in Circleville, Ohio, which produces the Kapton that is used in aircraft, satellites, military vehicles, and electronics. DuPont is one of the world’s most innovative science companies. As one of its most distinguished engineers, DuPont Fellows define new technologies and areas of research and inspire the technical community both internally and externally, the company says in announcing Kotwis’ achievement. After graduating from high school, he earned a B.S in mechanical engineering from Clemson University and a master’s degree in business management from North Carolina State University.
