East Palestine Fall Festival to Help Support Businesses

EAST PALESTINE, Ohio – Looking to rally community support for local businesses and celebrate the fall season, the East Palestine Chamber of Commerce will host the inaugural Village Merchant Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The festival will include local shops and booths lining downtown streets. Twenty participating businesses, including Kat’s Krystals,1820 House, Nene’s Collectibles & Gifts and Manettas Furniture and Decór will set up booths outside their shops on North Market Street and surrounding areas to give attendees a taste of their selections.

“As a local business owner, I’m excited to be a part of this town celebration, which showcases our strong community and brings the town together,” said Kat Smith, owner of Kat’s Krystals. “Inspired by the Chamber of Commerce’s signature snowflake event, we hope the Fall Festival becomes a staple for our community.”

Visitors are encouraged to kick off festivities at Fall Festival Headquarters in the Municipal Building at 85 N. Market St., where they will receive details on raffle and “guess the number” events.

For every $5 spent at local businesses, attendees can enter a ticket in one of the raffles for a chance to win one of 14 baskets donated by local businesses. And there will be jars containing a specific number of items placed in 13 participating stores. The attendee who most accurately guesses the number of items in each jar will win a prize.

The full-day festival will also include a craft show at the Park Pavilion, hosted by the City Park Board, and fresh apple butter at the Historical Society cabin. There will also be activities such as corn hole, apple cider tasting and more.
