Eastern Gateway Dean Receives Administrator Award
STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – Thomas Graham, dean of academics at Eastern Gateway Community College, recently received the Ohio Region 2022-23 Distinguished College Administrator Award.
The award is presented by the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Graham has taught sociology and social work courses for 30 years and is in his fourth year as dean of academics.
“Dr. Graham’s unwavering dedication to higher education and his outstanding contributions to Eastern Gateway cannot be overstated,” said Michael Geoghegan, EGCC president. “We are so thankful for his work at our school and in the community. It’s been a pleasure to work beside Dr. Graham and his talents as an educator shine bright.”
Graham also chaired the sociology of education section for the North Central Sociology Association for many years and has written eight critical reviews for the American Education Research Association.
“It’s an honor to work with Dr. Graham and to serve all of the students who are benefitting from the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society awards, grants and scholarships this year,” said Karen Spindler, EGCC chapter advisor, Phi Theta Kappa Alpha Omicron Nu.
