YSU Professor Inducted into National Academies of Practice
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Kelly Colwell, associate professor and director of respiratory care at Youngstown State University, was inducted as a distinguished scholar and fellow into the National Academies of Practice at a recent health care conference in Washington, D.C.
Colwell’s nomination was through The Ohio Society for Respiratory Care and seconded by The American Association for Respiratory Care. He is one of only two registered respiratory therapists in the Ohio to be bestowed this honor and one of only six distinguished fellows nationwide.
Additionally, Colwell was selected as a fellow of the American Association for Respiratory Care, an award bestowed upon individuals who have made a profound and lasting contribution to the profession of respiratory care and to the AARC.
