EDM Acquires Senior Living Center
EDM Management Inc., Boardman, is positioned for growth in the wake of an acquisition, the introduction of new programs and new employees.
In June, EDM acquired the former Commons at Greenbrier on South Avenue and today operates it as the Inn at Walker Mill. The senior living residence features 32 assisted living suites and 16 units dedicated to serving those with dementia and other memory disorders.
Programs introduced last year include a respiratory care program for ventilator-dependent residents at Briarfield at Ashley Circle, a skilled-nursing center in Austintown.
EDM also experienced internal growth in 2018 with the addition of new employees and promotions.
The company remains involved with many charitable events, says Courtney Angelo, marketing and communications manager.
Last year, Briarfield sponsored the Youngstown Playhouse box office and will do so in 2019. Briarfield also supports events associated with the Oh Wow! Children’s Center for Science & Technology, the Austintown General Enrichment Fund, St. Christine Parish and Youngstown State University, Angelo says.
In addition, Briarfield partners with the United Way for events such as Y-Live, the annual concert at Stambaugh Stadium organized by the Muransky Companies and JAC Live. Last year, Briarfield and United Way served as the VIP pre-party sponsors.
