EGCC Cuts Ribbon on Campus Care Center
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio– Eastern Gateway Community College cut the ribbon on its new Campus Care Center Monday morning. The center began as a food pantry in 2018 and has since expanded to offer EGCC students clothing for career and professional events along with education services and programs.
Roxanne Bohach, director of career development and the Campus Care Center, says the goal is to help students overcome barriers in their education.
“It’s our jobs to help them overcome those barriers and be successful,” says Bahach. “This campus care center is also about advocacy and education so that when they leave Eastern Gateway, they’ll be able to overcome those additional barriers that they face.”
