Elton John to Return to Covelli Centre March 22
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Covelli Centre announced this morning that Sir Elton John and his band will return for one performance 8 p.m. March 22 as part of a nine-city concert.
It will be the third time that Elton John has appeared at the municipal arena. The tour is being promoted as “Wonderful Crazy Night Tour 2016.”
Said the singer in a statement released by the Covelli Center, “I remember Youngstown fondly from my first-ever visit in 2010, and this concert will give me a chance to say thank you to my fans here who have been so faithful over the decades. It’s always important for me to bring my music to everyone.”
John explained he is limiting this tour to nine cities. “The simple truth is I want to spend more time with my family and less time touring,” he said. I am all too aware of how precious the time ahead is. My sons are growing up so quickly. Their early years are just flying by and I want to be there with them.
Tickets go on sale Friday Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. There is an eight-ticket limit per customer.
