Ending Busy 2018, YBI Says ‘Best Is Yet to Come’
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Business Incubator is capping off 2018 by promising “the best is yet to come” as it reports its accomplishments and releases a video that recaps its history.
Barb Ewing, CEO, says the incubator, founded in 2001, today supports “75 technology-based startup clients in the 18 counties of northeast Ohio, with over $43 million in revenue generated and $49 million raised in investments in the past four years.”
This year, she notes, YBI helped launch a $6 million micro investment fund and refurbished a 65,000-square-foot building, formerly offices of The Vindicator, that now houses five additive manufacturing companies “and some of the most advanced technology in the industry.”
Ewing says the YBI’s success is defined “by the people and stories that keep us going.” In a year-end message to supporters and the press, she asks for donations to “help us continue to ‘Elevate Every Entrepreneur.’ ”
The video is narrated by Jim Cossler, the YBI’s first CEO and its self-described chief evangelist. CLICK HERE to watch.
