Events to Mark Thiel College’s Sesquicentennial
GREENVILLE, Pa., — The Greenville Symphony Orchestra will perform a free pops concert at Thiel College at 2 p.m. Sept. 10 and Thiel will host a free ice cream social in conjunction with the event.
The concert will be held on the lawn and terrace near the Howard Miller Student Center. Attendees should bring their own blanket or chairs.
“The Greenville Symphony Orchestra is pleased to celebrate Thiel’s long-standing connection to the Greenville community,” said Judy Eckler, president of the Greenville Symphony Society. “We are proud to recognize this sesquicentennial.”
The concert and ice cream social are part of the 150th anniversary celebration of the college, which was founded in 1866. Other special events will recognize the college’s anniversary throughout 2016.
