Exhibition at The Butler to Spotlight Best Artists in Region

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Area Artist Annual exhibition will open Sunday, Oct. 29, at The Butler Institute of American Art and run through Nov. 19.

Now in its 84th year, the juried exhibition features the best work of artists living in Mahoning, Columbiana and Trumbull counties in Ohio, and Lawrence and Mercer counties in Pennsylvania.

The exhibit will feature 103 works by 81 artists.

Louis A. Zona, executive director of The Butler, says the exhibition demonstrates the high level of artistic talent in the area.

An opening reception will start at 1 p.m. Oct. 29, with awards announced at 2 p.m.
