Farmers Bank Offers Apple Pay
CANFIELD, Ohio – Farmers Bank has begun offering its customers Apple Pay so they can use their smartphones to pay bills in retail outlets, the bank announced late Monday.
In participating stores, Apple Pay will work with iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch, said Kevin Helmick, president and CEO of the bank. Within apps, Apple Pay is compatible with iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3.
In a prepared statement, Helmick said, “Farmers National Bank is proud to bring customers the latest in mobile banking technology. This new way to pay ensures Farmers customers a faster, more convenient checkout and secure payments. Setting up the mobile payment service is made easy by adding your Farmers debit card to Apple Pay.”
Apple Pay is offers more privacy and security to those who use it, Helmick said, because it’s more challenging to use fraudulently than other consumer methods of payment.
