Farmers Bank Publishes Webinar on PPP Forgiveness

CANFIELD, Ohio – A panel of experts from Farmers National Bank, including chief banking officer Mark Witmer, took part in a webinar last week on the forgiveness process for the Paycheck Protection Program.

In the webinar, which can now be watched on the bank’s YouTube page or in the embedded video above, east regional president and senior Vice President Tim Shaffer, senior credit manager Rick White and chief risk officer Michael Oberhaus, covered the 3508EZ form that PPP borrowers need to complete the forgiveness application and what business leaders should keep in mind as they go through the process.

“It’s important that local business owners have a readily-accessed resource to ensure they realize their maximum allowable forgiveness,” says Kevin J. Helmick, President & CEO of Farmers. “Farmers is pleased to provide this archived webinar that proved helpful to many local businesses.”

Witmer noted that the application is not submitted automatically, though those who borrowed from Farmers will receive an application that has been partially filled out with the business information the bank already has. Borrowers can also monitor the status of their application through a portal on Farmers’ website.

The video is also available on Farmers’ website at FarmersBankGroup.com/ppp-forgiveness-information.html
