Farmers Donates $7,500 to Akron Children’s Hospital
CANFIELD, Ohio – Farmers National Bank raised $7,500 in a recent campaign to support school-based health services provided by Akron Children’s Hospital.
Farmers held a paper butterfly campaign during the month of April at the bank’s branch locations, using the footprint of Akron Children’s Hospital as a graphic. Customers could purchase the decorative paper butterflies for $1, put their names on them and place them on the graphic.
Farmers is a sponsor of WKBN’s Caring for Our Community campaign, and as such ran a public service announcement to showcase how people could get involved.
Proceeds benefited Akron Children’s Hospital’s Community Cares program.
“Akron Children’s plays such a pivotal role in our communities and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the generosity of our customers and associates during this campaign,” says Amber Wallace, executive vice president and chief retail and marketing officer. “Giving back to local organizations is a priority for Farmers, and we believe this donation will help make a difference.”
