Farmers Holding Company Names Board Chairman, Declares Dividend
CANFIELD, Ohio —Terry A. Moore of Canton will become chairman of the board of the Farmers National Banc Corp. holding company effective Sept. 1, the company announced Wednesday.
Moore is an attorney with the Canton-based law firm of Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., where he served as managing director from 2001 to 2018. Prior to earning his juris doctorate from the University of Cincinnati, he attended Youngstown State University, where he was an All-American athlete and co-captain on the basketball team.
Moore also serves on the compensation committee and the corporate governance and nominating committee and will serve as chairman of the executive committee for Farmers National Banc Corp., the bank reported in a news release. He joined the Farmers National Banc Corp Board of Directors in April 2014.
“The skills and qualifications Terry developed through his corporate law and governance experiences will allow him to provide extensive leadership as the chairman of the board of directors,” Kevin J. Helmick, Farmers National Bank president and CEO, said.
In addition to serving on Farmers’ board, Moore is on the board of trustees for The Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center and has chaired and continues to serve on the hospital’s Development Foundation. He also serves as trustee for the Hoover Foundation.
Also, the holding company declared a quarterly cash dividend of 16 cents per share Tuesday afternoon. The common stock cash dividend will have a record date of Sept. 9 and is payable to shareholders Sept. 30.
Farmers National Banc Corp. has banking assets of $4.1 billion. Its wholly owned subsidiaries consist of The Farmers National Bank of Canfield, which has 46 banking locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania; Farmers Trust Co.; and Farmers National Insurance LLC. Total wealth management assets under care as of June 30 were $2.9 billion.
