Farmers Lab Branch Focuses on Digital Banking

CANFIELD, Ohio — Farmers National Bank customers can experience a digitally focused approach to banking at the banks’ new Lab Branch.

Located at 4538 Boardman-Canfield Road, the technology-leading branch opened July 13 and features new technology and customer service initiatives. They include video tellers, who virtually help customers with their banking needs via Interactive Teller Machines in the lobby, vestibule and two-lane drive-thru. The branch also includes a large video wall.

“With the Lab Branch, we took a traditional bank branch concept and completely reimagined it with a focus on digital innovations and customer experience,” said Amber Wallace, executive vice president and chief retail/marketing officer. “We were able to create a one-of-a-kind banking experience that our customers have never seen before.”

The Lab Branch lets Farmers National Bank test new customer service and technology initiatives and gain customer feedback, according to a release. Insights gained will aid the company in rolling out new technologies and services throughout its other branches.
