Farmers Names Santiago VP, Community Development

Farmers National Bank, Canfield, has named Juan Santiago as vice president, community development manager, a newly created position In his role, he will originate both residential and small business loans. Santiago is a native of the Mahoning Valley with a long career in banking. He has demonstrated particular effectiveness in working with first-time home buyers, according to Mark Witmer, senior executive vice president and chief banking officer at Farmers National Bank. “With his extensive banking and community experience, Juan is a unique asset to our markets, as he assures that all community members have access to lending opportunities,” Witmer says. In addition to his professional experience, Santiago is a commissioner with the Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority. He is an active member of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference and Professionals Partnering with Christ, a faith-based networking group.
