Farmers National Bank Raises Funds, Supplies for Youngstown Blast Victims
CANFIELD, Ohio – Farmers National Bank, in collaboration with the local community, has raised funds and gathered supplies for Youngstown residents affected by recent downtown events.
Throughout June, Farmers branches across Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana counties collected monetary donations and essential items from customers and employees. Contributions included microwavable and ready-made food, drinks, and paper products such as plates, paper towels and disposable silverware.
The bank collected $1,500 and 12 boxes of supplies, while Farmers National Bank contributed an additional $5,000. All donations are directed to the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley to support the shelter and food needs of those impacted by the blast.
“In times like this, our Valley is known for coming together to lift each other up,” said Amber Wallacce, Farmers chief retail and marketing officer. “We can only hope to play a small part in helping our community get back on its feet.”
