Farmers Trust Co. Names David Dastoli President
BOARDMAN, Ohio – David Dastoli has been named president of Farmers Trust Co. effective June 1, James R. Smail, chairman of the trust company, announced this morning.
Dastoli, a chartered financial analyst and certified financial planner, joined Farmers in March 2012 as a senior portfolio manager and has been interim president since April.
He was named chief investment officer of Farmers Trust in April 2014.
Farmers Trust manages more than $1 billion in assets for its clients throughout nine counties in northeastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania.
Dastoli, a graduate of Kent State University, has more than a quarter-century of experience in the financial services industry, including several years at a large regional bank where he was a vice president and senior portfolio manager.
“Dave’s experience, passion for the trust company and leadership capabilities make him an excellent fit to serve in this capacity and lead the trust company’s growth strategies,” said Smail in a statement.
Dastoli served on the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Youngstown, where he was chair for four years. He was also active with the Canfield Baseball Club and was treasurer of the Canfield High School Baseball Boosters.
