US and Ohio EPA Chiefs, Senators Converge in East Palestine
EAST PALESTINE, Ohio – U.S Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Michael Regan and Ohio EPA Director Anne Vogel both made statements regarding the air and water testing being done in and around the village.
U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, and U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson of Marietta, R-6th, also made statements during a press conference during which officials said they would hold Norfolk Southern Railroad accountable for the Feb. 3 train derailment.
Earlier Thursday, U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, voiced his concerns that Norfolk Southern is not doing enough for residents in the aftermath of the train derailment.
