5th COVID-19 Case Diagnosed in Mahoning County
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Mahoning County Public Health has announced that two more residents have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the county’s total to five.
Information on the people diagnosed was not released.
The first two cases in Mahoning County were announced Tuesday, followed by a third case Wednesday.
Information on the third person diagnosed was not released either. The first two patients are both men; one was hospitalized, the other was not.
“We continue to ask our residents to practice primary prevention actions and social distancing as we work to slow the spread of COVID-19,” the department said in a statement.
“The majority of people with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms. Testing is not necessary and self-care is recommended. Fever-reducing medication can be used for fever and cough medicine for coughs.”
The health department will provide more information, it said, in a Friday conference call with the media.
