“It’s evident that repopulation is a top priority in western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio. We see partners coming together to collaborate and find solutions,” says Jake Rickert, director of workforce development for Penn-Northwest Development Corp. “Housing remains a top priority, whether the solution is some state and federal support to lower the costs of construction or rent for young professionals stepping into the workforce or retirees stepping down and vacating these homes with lots of land.”
