First Batch of Ohio-Made Monarch Tractors Revealed
LORDSTOWN, Ohio – Officials at Foxconn announced Tuesday that the first five Monarch MK-V tractors have rolled off the production line at its plant.
The Monarch MK-V is a fully electric, driver-optional smart tractor. Foxconn signed a contract manufacturing agreement with Monarch Tractor in June 2022 to build the company’s next-generation agricultural equipment and battery packs.
“These tractors are the very first off the line, but we’re about to now have scale,” said Carlo Mondavi, chief farming officer and co-founder of Monarch Tractor. “To make the most impact possible, this is one of those things where speed and scale is important. So we’re moving as quickly as we can to get tractors out to all of our customers around the world, starting here in America first.”
