First Insurance Donates $1,000 Gift to Meals on Wheels
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – An award made to First Insurance Group will support Meals on Wheels of Youngstown.
The insurance agency, an affiliate of Premier Financial Corp., was the August recipient of the Tuscarora Wayne Mutual Group Foundation’s monthly $1,000 award, which is then donated to a nonprofit of the awardee’s choice.
“We chose Meals On Wheels of Youngstown as the recipient of this donation to show our appreciation for all that they do to address senior isolation and hunger right here in the Mahoning Valley,” said First Insurance vice president and controller Stephenie Maroni in a statement. “Their staff and volunteers work hard to deliver the nutritious meals, friendly visits and safety checks that enable our seniors to live nourished lives with independence and dignity.”
Added Stacey Hockey, Tuscarora Wayne Mutual Group Foundation’s business development specialist: “First Insurance Group has earned this honor based upon their outstanding agency relationship, historic profitability and significant growth. We are proud to congratulate First Insurance Group on the success of their agency and are thrilled to partner with them to support Meals on Wheels of Youngstown.”
Founded as James & Sons more than a century ago, the insurance agency was acquired by the former holding company of The Home Savings and Loan Co. – now premier Bank – in 2016. The agency’s name was changed in February.
