Flashback Minis: Holly & Mistletoe Holiday Decor

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio– The reception room inside the Arms Family Museum is decorated with holly and mistletoe for the holiday season. Both have been used as holiday decorations for centuries.

The vignette featured in this video combines objects from the 19th and early 20th centuries like needle cases, candy and gift boxes, a cigar box, books, and hymnals. There are calendars and dimensional Christmas cards shaped like sleds, fans, and wreaths. There is delicate silk ribbon and an English porcelain vase painted with a lady crowned in holly leaves.

Memories of Christmas Past at the Arms Family Museum is open now through Dec. 31. Hours are Tuesday through Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.. Special Twilight Thursday hours are from noon to 7 p.m..
