Flashback Minis: Kilcawley Center
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — What today is the center of student life at Youngstown State University, Kilcawley Center, began in 1960 thanks to a donation of $300,000 made by William H. Kilcawley and his wife Mattie.
“The student center was the first step in the University’s long-range development program made possible through Youngstown city’s urban renewal program,” says Lisa Garofali, staff member in the Archives and Special Collections Department at YSU.
