Flashback Minis: Megown Family Christmas Trees

These photos of the Megown family, taken between 1907 and the 1920s, show early 20th century Christmas tree design. Decorations on these trees include a combination of homemade and store bought items.

Ornaments and trims included candles, popcorn strings, paper cornucopias and glass figural ornaments. Toys and gifts were also placed within the tree nestled into the tree boughs.
