Flashback Minis: The Benjamin Franklin Wirt Collection
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio– Benjamin Franklin Wirt, a local businessman, lawyer and Ohio state senator, amassed an eclectic collection of books, artwork and antiquities from all over the world.
In the 1960s, the Mahoning Valley Historical Society obtained the collection. It can now be found inside Arms Family Museum.
One of the paintings in the collection was done by Claude Raguet Hirst. She was an American artist famous for still life paintings and creating the illusion of three-dementionality in her works.
