Flashback Minis: The Cafaro Bros. and the Eastwood Mall
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio– In 1949, brothers William and John Cafaro founded William M. Cafaro and Associates which would later become the Cafaro Company.
Their focus was to develop shopping centers like the Sharon Towne Center in Sharon and the American Mall in Lima. They also developed one of America’s first regional malls, the Eastwood Mall in Niles..
The photos featured in this video are of the Eastwood Mall’s 10th Anniversary Celebration in 1979. Entertainer Davy Jones played to a massive crowd in the mall’s main concourse.
