Flashback Minis: Trumbull County Fair

Two pamphlets in the Trumbull County Historical Society’s possession hearken back to Warren’s entertainment and agricultural past.

The Trumbull County Fair has become a yearly tradition from some residents. Currently held in Bazetta Township, the fair originally was held at Oak Grove Fairgrounds in Warren during the 1840s, where it was held until the start of the Civil War.

At that time, the land – today, the area behind Warren G. Harding High School – was converted to a military training site. The fair didn’t move to Bazetta until the 1970s.
