POLAND, Ohio– William McKinley and his family moved to Poland when he was nine years-old. His father, William McKinley Sr., chose Poland because of it’s excellent schools.
Inside the Little Red Schoolhouse maintained by the Poland Historical Society are several McKinley artifacts housed inside a display case. One of those artifacts is a photograph of McKinley’s boyhood home formerly located on S. Main St. in the Village.
