FNB Completes Fifth Third Branch Purchases
PITTSBURGH — First National Bank of Pennsylvania, the largest subsidiary of F.N.B. Corp., announced today that last Friday it completed its acquisition of 17 Fifth Third Bank branches in Greater Pittsburgh.
Through the transaction, F.N.B. said it has improved its Pittsburgh delivery channel, gaining critical mass and increasing both efficiency and access to new opportunities, according to its press release.
FNB now operates more than 100 branches in its Pittsburgh region, has exceeded $20 billion in assets and is the second-largest bank based in Pennsylvania as measured by assets with more than 300 branches across Pennsylvania, in northeastern Ohio, Maryland and the northern panhandle of West Virginia.
