FNB Named Official Banking Partner of Pittsburgh Penguins

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – F.N.B. Corp., the parent company of First National Bank, has reached an agreement with the Pittsburgh Penguins to be the hockey team’s official retail banking and digital banking partner.

Beginning next season, PPG Paints Arena will house the FNB Club premium seating area on the west side of the arena, as well as three ATMs and a new FNB digital center where fans will be able to take part in “exciting promotions, interactive experiences and unique banking technology,” the bank said in a statement. Among its features will be ATMs with two-way video chat and a touchscreen Solutions Center, where visitors can use FNB’s proprietary digital platform to learn about banking products, services and financial education.

“The Penguins are a premier sports organization and are part of the spirit of our headquarters city,” said FNB President and CEO Vincent J. Delie Jr. “We are proud to support such a valuable cultural asset and to add this partnership to our extensive commitment to Pittsburgh and the organizations, projects and experiences that make it so unique.”

The partnership will also bring an affinity checking package to FNB, offering Penguins-branded products such as credit and debit cards.

FNB will also have a presence at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry, including ATMs.

The partnership us the latest collaboration between the Pittsburgh-based bank and the Penguins. In December, the team announced plans to build a new $200 million, 24-story office tower at the former site of Civic Arena – the hockey team’s previous home – that will serve as FNB’s new headquarters.
