Ford Tri-Motor Aircraft Coming to Regional Airport
VIENNA TOWNSHIP, Ohio – The historic Ford Tri-Motor aircraft is set to land at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport for a four-day event July 13-16.
The Experimental Aircraft Association is bringing the Liberty Air Museum’s 1928 Ford Tri-Motor to the airport as part of its national tour. Attendees will have the opportunity to see the aircraft up close and take a flight aboard one of the last remaining operational Tri-Motors in the world.
Flights will be available from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Flights, ranging in price from $65 to $95, can be reserved on the EAA’s Ford Tri-Motor website.
“We are thrilled to bring the Ford Tri-Motor back to YNG,” said Anthony Trevena, executive director of the Western Reserve Port Authority, which operates the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport. “This collaboration allows us to share the rich aviation heritage and the joy of flight with our community. We invite everyone to join us for an unforgettable experience and celebrate the legacy of this iconic aircraft.”
