Former Taylor Kia Properties Sold for $11.9M

BOARDMAN, Ohio – The land and buildings of the former Taylor Kia dealership at 7870 and 7871 Market St. have sold for a combined $11.9 million, according to data from the Mahoning County Auditor’s office.

Ken Ganley Automotive Group of Brecksville announced in November that it had acquired Taylor’s Boardman dealership and another Taylor Kia store in Alliance.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, and the auditor’s information pertains just to the real estate sale.

Data show the 6.5 acres and building at 7870 Market sold to KG Real Estate Boardman LLC for $7.5 million, and is appraised at $2.1 million for tax purposes. The seller is listed as Jetre LLC et al.

A second property on 4.8 acres across the street at 7871 Market – appraised at $2.85 million – sold to KG Real Estate Wholesale for $4.4 million, according to auditor’s records. The seller of that property is also listed as Jetre LLC. The building and land is currently occupied by Cheddar Auto.

Records show the real estate sales were recorded on April 7.

The Boardman dealership is the first Ganley showroom in the Mahoning Valley.

Other larger regional auto groups have acquired longtime locally owned dealerships. In January, Sweeney Chevrolet and Sweeney Buick GMC sold its dealerships to Pittsburgh-based #1 Cochran. That dealership’s land and buildings along Market Street sold for a combined $18.4 million, according to auditor’s records.
