Four New Exhibits at the McDonough Museum

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio– The McDonough Museum of Art on the campus of Youngstown State University presents four new exhibitions on display now through March 5.

The shows are Matthew Kolodziej’s “Open Storage,” Piotr Szyhalski’s “COVID-19 Labor Camp Report,” Donald Black Jr.’s “A Day No One Will Remember,” and Emerging Artists: Sarah Bowling, Han Diaspora Group, Laura Hudspith, Rosabel Rosalind & Rebecca Shapass’s “There Are Seams in Purgatory.”

Claudia Berlinski, the museum’s director, describes the shows as individual and varied. She says anyone can find something that speaks to them.

“They’re all very strong artists and very strong artwork in their own way which is very different,” she says. ” I would just encourage people to come check it out because I think they will find something that touches them or reaches them in some way.”

The McDonough Museum of Art is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Visit YSU.edu/mcdonough-museum for more details and upcoming events.
