Foxconn Looks to Diversify Portfolio

LORDSTOWN, Ohio – As the largest consumer electronics contract manufacturer in the world, Foxconn is looking to build its business by competing in higher margin EV markets where the company can stand out.

Rick Rajaie, vice president of operations for Foxconn EV North America, says in any business you have to have a product differentiation.

“We are separating ourselves from the majority of the crowd that they want to be in the mainstream market and compete over very marginal profit,” Rajaie says. “We would like to be in a different market, and our market is very clear. It’s broken down into mainstream electric vehicles.”
