Foxconn Looks to Entice Other OEMs to Valley

LORDSTOWN, Ohio — Foxconn gave a tour of its assembly plant to visitors from an electric vehicle delegation. State reps and other local elected officials were also on the tour.

The tour demonstrated the manufacturing experience and workforce Ohio has to offer and sought to entice other Taiwanese original equipment manufacturers to move into the Mahoning Valley.

“We want to see a success,” said Johnson Chiang, director general of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office located in Chicago. “This is not only about Foxconn, but for Taiwan companies as a platform to invite them over here.”
