Free Field Trips at Oh Wow! for Disabled Children
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Children living in Mahoning County and diagnosed with disabilities are now able to receive free field-trip admission to the Oh Wow! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science and Technology.
The Hine Memorial Fund of The Youngstown Foundation provided grant funding for the program, and organizations serving this population are asked to contact Oh Wow! at 330 744 5914 to schedule their field trip. All field trips must be scheduled before Dec. 15 to be eligible for the program.
The museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to foster independent thinking and enrich the lives of all children by creating a welcoming environment that fosters learning skills and knowledge through hands-on exhibits and education programs.
More than 185,000 have visited the museum since it opened in 2011. There are 10 galleries and more than 50 hands-on interactive exhibits linked to the educational standards of Ohio and Pennsylvania.
