Funding Helps TNP Expand Emergency Home Repair Services

WARREN, Ohio – Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership has received an additional $400,000 for its Emergency Home Repair Program, which allows the organization to provide home repairs for income-qualifying owner-occupants.

The new funding, made available by the Ohio Department of Development’s HAG-P Program, leverages local commitments from the city of Warren and Trumbull County, as well as a federal allocation for home repair.

“This allocation helps us help folks that own their home and just need a little help keeping up with repairs,” said Caitlyn Brown, TNP’s home repair coordinator.

With additional funding and nicer weather, the organization is seeking more contractors.

“We have an outstanding pool of contractors, but we are always looking for more,” TNP Deputy Director Lisa Ramsey said.

Though there are a variety of eligible repairs, Ramsey said the most common are roofs, furnaces and wheelchair ramps, and contractors are needed.
