Garbanzo Restaurant Opens in Boardman
BOARDMAN, Ohio — The Simple Greek locations in Boardman, Niles and Hermitage have been converted into Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh restaurants.
“The Simple Greeks were converted to Garbanzos just to provide a broader menu of the mediterranean versus just greek,” says Mark Kreiner, director of marketing for Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh.
Customers can build their own stuffed pita or gyro or they can cut bread out completely by ordering a dish, bowl or salad.
“We did a full transition of product items in September,” says Amber Walley, general manager of Boardman’s Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh location. “We didn’t want to shut down, we didn’t want to lose revenue and we wanted to keep our staff working that was here. Nobody has really changed at all. Our staff is still here from The Simple Greek through the transition. They’ve been with us through the pandemic.”
Kreiner says there are job opportunities currently available. “If someone really is into fresh ingredients and cooking, you actually can do it here because everything is made fresh from scratch. We’re always looking for talented people.”
The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday 11am – 9pm and Sunday from 11am – 8pm.
