Garmier First in Ohio to Earn Support Group Certification
Tara Garmier, director of Memory Lane at the Crandall Medical Center at Copeland Oaks in Sebring, is the first professional in Ohio to be certified by the National Council for Certified Dementia Practitioners as a dementia support group facilitator. And she is one of only three people in the United States to have earned the new certification. Copeland Oaks will open a new assisted living memory unit in March where Garmier will launch a support group for families. “This new memory unit fills a huge need today. It allows us to add another step in our continuum of care,” she says.
