Gibson Agency Awards $10K in Holiday Campaign
GIRARD, Ohio – With more than 5,000 votes cast in an online contest, Animal Pawtectors won The Gibson Agency’s fourth annual Holiday Giving Campaign, receiving $5,000.
Animal Pawtectors, based in Cortland, provides medical treatment to sick, abandoned and abused pets and finds homes for abandoned cats and dogs. The group works closely with area animal shelters, including the Trumbull County Dog Pound, to spay and neuter animals before they are taken into homes.
Homes for Kids Inc./Child and Family Solutions, which finished in second place with 1,843 votes, will receive $1,000. The organization provides treatment and foster care services for children as well behavioral health treatment for children and their families.
The eight remaining organizations in the contest – Down Syndrome Association of the Valley, Northeast Ohio Adoption Services, Inspiring Minds, Yellow Brick Place, Warren Family Mission, Veterans’ Outreach, Beatitude House and Big Brothers Big Sisters – each received $500.
