Gibson’s Community Appreciation Day to Benefit Second Harvest
GIRARD, Ohio – The Gibson Agency’s annual Community Appreciation Day will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley.
The event will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. July 26 at Gibson’s offices, 984 Tibbetts-Wick Road. It’s open to the public, and food will be provided by the agency from local food trucks and vendors. In addition to giveaways, the agency will have a 50/50 raffle, with proceeds benefiting the food bank.
Attendees are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for Second Harvest. The most needed items are peanut butter, cereal, tuna, canned vegetables, canned fruit and dry pasta. At last year’s event, the agency collected 851 pounds of food through donations from staff, customers and the community.
Anyone who is unable to attend the event but would still like to make a donation to Second Harvest can drop items off at the Gibson Insurance offices during regular business hours – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday – until July 26.
