Giving Back Highlights Strong Year at Reinhardt’s
HERMITAGE, Pa. – New business development at Reinhardt’s Agency Inc., a third-generation insurance agency founded in 1904, led to a 15.1% increase in its written premiums during 2022 compared to the previous year, the company reports.
Reinhardt’s, based in Hermitage, Pa., employs 17 and insures more than 2,500 homes, 9,000 vehicles, and 450 businesses locally, says Deanne Koch, director of marketing.
The company’s success has translated into a strong commitment to the community. Reinhardt’s and its employees donated time and resources to important causes in 2022.
All of Reinhardt’s employees, for example, donated their time last year to help The Community Food Warehouse of Mercer County. Employees organized an onsite food drive to help “Stuff the Bus” and spent many hours sorting and preparing food boxes for those in need. Several employees also participated in the “Race to End Hunger,” earning Reinhardt’s the “2022 Teams Winner” for having the largest participating team.
Last year Reinhardt’s announced a partnership with Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation, Koch says. The insurance agency has committed to raise money to purchase a camera system that allows families to monitor infants receiving care through the UPMC Magee-Womens Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. As such, Reinhardt’s is donating $5 for every personal auto quote it provides throughout the year. The goal is to exceed 500 quotes, which will provide one NICView camera system valued at $2,500.
“At Reinhardt’s, an important part of our mission is giving back to the community,” Koch says.
In 2022 Reinhardt’s was once again recognized as one of the Best Place to Work in Pennsylvania for the fourth year in a row. Team Pennsylvania, a nonprofit, partners with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and the Central Penn Business Journal to compile the list.
